Golden Lips

Dear readers,

my busy days will soon be over and I will have time to create better posts more frequently. Next to a huge amount of work and a tight schedule, I also got sick yesterday, so my physical and mental health are pretty low right now. I am sticking to tea, lemons and warm socks. I keep positive thoughts in my mind at all times; it warms up my heart when I think about family time - can't wait to see them in two weeks! We visited the cat shelter (Katzenheim Freudenau) on Sunday, so petting kitties, buying Christmas ornaments and drinking mulled wine was also a good break from everyday life. Another thing that keeps me excited (better said, alive) during grey November days, is working out. I am looking forward to the one tomorrow, it is called California workout, where we usually do a combination of running, step training, HIIT, weight workout or circuit training. It will help me with my cold for sure!

We took those pictures on the last warm day in this year, when the temperature reached 14°C. Oh, how I wish it was like that now. I felt creative, so I tried out some makeup, which is pretty popular recently - anything in metallic colour. Especially on the lips, it is a new trend right now, but I did not want to buy an actual lipstick, so I used eye shadow instead and I think it looks pretty amazing! I would never use it for everyday makeup, but for going out it might be an eye catcher. Do you like the new trend? It was definitely fun taking those pictures, catching the last sunbeams.

Little Blue Dress

Dear readers,

remember the post where I was writing about my weekend? Well, this is how I was dressed for a date with my love (after more than 8 years together we still go on dates, yes!). I combined the little blue dress with a choker and for outside, with a big scarf and a black coat. I think this look is simple, yet elegant and suits well for different occasions, like dinner, party, drinks, friend visits, family gatherings etc. The beautiful decoration in the mall was a great background for the pictures (I am really obsessed with Christmas decor haha). What do you think about the outfit?

My Weekend in Pictures

Dear readers,

this is how my weekend looked like.

My Saturday started early, at 8:30 to be exact. I woke up like this (no, just joking, I usually do not have enough time in the morning to get ready like a normal person, so this is my simple make-up look). Drank a cappuccino and ate some banana pancakes (banana + egg + oatmeal); next to scrambled eggs, they are my favourites for breakfast.

The reason why I woke up so early and why I had to dress up like a decent human being (otherwise I would spend my whole day in pyjamas) is a block seminar at my university, which started at 9:45 and spread through the whole day. I think these kind of seminars are more productive in comparison to those that take place every week for an hour or two. And they are even more useful in my situation, because everything is already practice based and involves a lot of role plays. So, this time, the seminar was about the burn out phenomenon and the stabilisation of patients with psychosis, self-inflicted behaviour and aggression.

   

At 13:00, it was time for lunch. I ate a Caesar salad from Hofer. Still amazed how delicious it was! After some brainstorming and discussion it was time for an afternoon snack. Yummy flam kuchen with a fruit whey drink. The sun has already set as we finished at 17:30.

In the evening, my love and me went on a date to the movies. We watched Justice League 3D; pretty nice effects! We just couldn't go without a coconut bubble tea! Nom nom!

On Sunday, we slept until 11:00. We are a couple that loves to sleep long and we cherish those lazy relaxed days. I think that in a world, where everything is about getting the most out of every minute, we often forget to take some time-out, just doing nothing but breathing (and maybe cuddling haha). Breakfast: scrambled eggs for sure!

We visited the Urban Vienna 2017 exhibition, since we received tickets for free. It was mostly companies presenting their products. Then we took a walk to the renovated Stephansplatz, but since it was raining a little, we hid in a coffee shop.

Afterwards, we went to Vapiano for a late lunch with my half-brother and his wife. The delicious photos say it all.

My day ended with work schedule making for the employees and some article reading, while drinking a lovely cup of chai latte. We usually watch a movie in the evening, but we skipped it this Sunday, since I had to wake up early the next day and I wanted to get to bed in time.

Puffer Jacket

Dear readers,

yesterday I got an awesome deal on this puffer jacket in a wonderful camel colour, so I just had to buy it. I was never a fan of such outerwear, because it mostly looks sporty and not elegant, but this one simply goes well with everything - in the pictures you can see me combining it with heels and yellow boots. How do you like it? I know it is a big change from what I usually wear.
